"Off with their heads!"

"Off With Her Head" features black marabou boa trim, red velvet center poof covered with shimmering sheer red fabric with black polka dots, black rhinestone accents and a pattern of blood red rhinestones around the base. With a slightly sinister feel built on top of a glittering gold foam crown, it balances on the light and dark edges of whimsy.
The Royal Crowns series is inspired by the Queen of Hearts in Disney’s Alice in Wonderland. Full of whimsy and leaning toward the dramatic, they are intended to delight and inspire as well as flatter the royalty that resides within us. Perfect for birthdays, cocktail parties, costume balls or any time you feel the need to remind people that all ways are your way.
Securely attached to a comfortable giant snap clip, it’s easy to slip into your hair, not to mention stylistically versatile.
I’ve made them out of different materials and with different themes such that each is unique. Please browse the rest of the collection to see which is the best fit: http://www.etsy.com/shop/SaiSaiArts?section_id=7921125
Or feel free to send me conversation to request a custom crown! Depending on the requested embellishments, there is not usually a markup for a custom order.

Alice in Wonderland was an especially delightful theme for me. With Alice’s constant issues with growing and shrinking, the oversized and miniature headpieces I makes somehow make more sense, or at least settle in a comfortable crowd of nonsense and madness. Talking flowers, spoiled royalty, a curious girl in a pretty dress, and, most relevant to myself, a mad hatter who loves tea, all provide extra inspiration.
