The 1970s series follows in the footsteps of the 1954 series in that it also depicts scenery, but is not limited solely to nature. The $1 depicts Parliament Hill (Ottawa) and the $2 depicts an Inuit hunting scene.
Both notes depict Queen Elizabeth on the front.
The 1970s series notes were used until the mid-late 1980s. They remain valid legal tender in Canada.
Picture is a representative sample / stock photo.
Generally the $2 will be well worn/used, whereas the $1 will be near mint if not mint.
