This piece may be an ancient relic unearthed alongside the Tara Brooch in County Meath. An amulet for the Dragon Clan, keepers of otherworldly wisdom.
Real shed snake skin is pressed into precious metal clay and fired, leaving the pattern of the actual scales in the fine silver product.
Oxidized and burnished for depth and contour.
An antique carnival glass bead is incorporated for it's changing colors, violet-blue-red hues. Black faceted antique seed beads 100 years old are strung on coated wire and close with a sterling silver spring clasp.
Chain measures about 22", focal measures about 2".
