Beautiful 70s topper/trench/opera coat made by Union. Fabric is suede-like, light and nice to touch. The coat has open “no closure” A-line cut and could be worn with a belt or secured with a big brooch on the waist. Other features are: two slit pockets, slightly flared ¾ sleeves, interesting raglan-like shoulder line and scoop neck cut. There are two belt loops but original belt is missing. AGNES HAS INCLUDED THE LOVELY PASTEL VINTAGE BELT THAT YOU CAN SEE ON THE PHOTOS! The coat is lined with silky synthetic fabric in pink.
Brand: Union, ILGWU, Canada. The coat has another tag saying "Jerry Silverman". Probably a designer who worked for the brand.
Fabric: polyester/faux suede medium weight, sturdy but soft to touch
Measurements: One size fits all – please see measurements!
Shoulder to shoulder: 15-16”
Sleeve length: 20”
CONDITION: Excellent vintage. One small pen mark on the back of the right sleeve and several tiny places at the back where the stitching broke, not noticeable. Slightly visible yellow-ish residue about 2" in length close to the belt loop could be easily covered by a belt and might go away with dry cleaning. Other than that it is perfect. The coat is clean and is ready to wear.
