I take a walk along the reservoir just before dusk. What has been a thick blanket of ice and snow for months, is breaking up, folding over itself to expose the blue waters beneath. The sun is setting, casting its warm glow over all that it touches. Within the trees I see color and life surging to the tips of the branches, buds are readying. The snow is finally melting, I smell the earth warmly greeting the sun. Three bluebirds perch on the guardrail. Yes indeed, Spring is just around the corner.
This one of a kind necklace features an incredible specimen of Bi-Color Tourmaline, sparkling icy blue waters tipped with the rosiest pink, encased within a peyote woven band of watercolor glass seed beads. I can stare into this crystal for hours, dreaming of swimming within it's cool tide-pool blue and sipping at the sugar sweet pinks.
Dancing like rushing streams in a luscious cascade is a swirling tassel comprised of cool and soothing glass seed and bugle beads, duly embellished with deep, dark purple Amethyst rounds, dreamy pastel purple Faceted Amethyst Rondells, brilliant blue sky Turquoise, and the super flashy auruora borealis swirls of Abalone.
The "chain" if you please is a sensuous rope of cloudy labradorite gray, rainbow smoke, strong hematite, opalescent lavender, deep amethyst, metallic plum, blue sky turquoise, vibrant teal, hot pink fuchsia and dreamy petal pink glass seed, delica & bugle beads all stitched together, one by one, "helix style".
