Heaps of vintage glass and high quality vitnage plastic faux pearl beads adorn a sweep of tangled chains to make up this killer statement necklace. The pearls on this version are in an assortment of cream tones ranging from pale off-white to yellowy creams, ecru and almond. Some of the pearls are very old and worn, they've lost their lustre completely or have a gorgeously chippy and mottled texture. Some have faded to the milky white glass underneath.
The chains are in an assortment of darkly oxidized brass tones. All of the chains and metal components are new or vintage dead stock and all have been patinated by hand to achieve a variety of dark brown tones. All brass parts are sealed with jewelry grade beeswax based sealant, but will lighten a bit with time and wear.
The shortest strand sits at 16" (right along the collarbones). Longest chain cascades to 24" (just above the cleavage on an average sized woman). Secures at the back of the neck with a handmade brass hook. A 4" extender dangles at the clasp, finished off with a signature Savage Salvage crystal/bullet charm. You'll look just as fierce leaving the room as you did on the way in!
This particular necklace has a nice substantial weight to it. Those glass pearls really add up! So, if you have a particularly sensitive neck, this design is not recommended for you. I can make similar designs in lightweight vintage plastic pearls. If you are interested please convo for details.

As with all Savagesalvage designs, many of the materials that I use are recycled, repurposed, vintage or antique. They usually show signs of their past lives. They may have some scratches, chips, discoloration or patina from age. I feel that such imperfections lend authenticity to my designs. If you don't like things that look archaic and a bit worn, then my designs are probably not for you.
