Oh. My. God. This dress is so dang beautiful! A classic 50's silhouette, this tea-length strapless gown has a fitted bodice with a big circle skirt. It's made of black flocked taffeta, with a velvet floral pattern, and layers of pink tulle peaking out from the hem. The outermost layer of the skirt, the black part, has a zig-zag cut, and the bodice has two little black velvet bows on either side of the bust. The scalloped pink shelf bust emphasizes the chest, and makes the waist look even tinier in comparison. Ruched bodice has boning inside to maintain the shape; the skirt has a crinoline slip under the tulle. It is so sweet and perfect for prom, a wedding, or any other formal occasion. (Anyone thinking of having their bridesmaids in vintage frocks?) My boyfriend, who keeps me disciplined about selling my merchandise even when it fits me, is begging me to keep this one!

In very good vintage condition. The boning on the inside of the bodice was coming out so it poked, but I have patched it so it no longer is a problem. This is NOT a visible or serious problem. Also, the hemline of the skirt is split in many places because the flocking got a bit stiff there and it cracked. The good thing is that the hemline is already cut asymmetrically, so it's not very obvious. (Please refer to photos.) This piece has been professionally dry cleaned and is ready to wear!
