Playing with colors, different fibers and textures is what I like to do best. Mixing yarns and working uneven textures, combining patterns and different stitches is fun. Creating something from just a string (or two) is just so much rewarding .
I am placing some of the sweaters I had stored away to share them with the next person -generation- to enjoy. I will tell if they are new or if some of them were used. I just took a few sweaters and machine washed and dried them on gentle wool cycle before displaying them. I reshaped them (pulling ribbings long) and laid them flat on big towels to completely dry .
Yesterday’s short or waste-long sweaters are today’s layered look sweaters.
Whenever we received a new yarn we worked up a model to show our customers what the yarn would look like, knitted or crochet. This way we did end up with many
“unfinished “ models, to be finished in later years. Sometimes we did use book patterns but most of the time we did “our own thing” to speed up the process. I did teach finishing touches for years and my finished projects look very professional
Our models were sizes 8-10-12, because we ourselves were small size and the girls in my family were that size. -- Lisa
Just machine washed this little top and it looks great. The size would be a small.
Measurements when laying flat.
Chest 17", 34" around
Ribbing 16" to hold sweater tight.
Up to under arm 11" +, up to shoulder 19". A drop shoulder.
Due to the material, coitton acrylic blend bouclet, it will strech a little and can be pulled on and re shaped. The top is very light in weight and airy in Summer. You may ask questions as you look at this lovely top.
Thank you for visiting my new shop and come again as I am placing new items on Etsy.
