This up scaled cork bulletin board was in relatively good shape but needed a lift. I’ve painted the oak frame a lovely dark rusty orange and added a really fun “school” themed fabric with lots of bright colored letters in uppercase, all different sizes, colors with patterns of stripes, polka dots and plaid!
I’ve also added a pale green satin ribbon in the classic memory board style and secured it to the fabric and cork with five glued button tacks. Where the ribbons cross each other these fun “alphabet” buttons have been stacked onto other multi colored buttons and glued in with tacks. They are very secure and add a fun and funky styling to this multipurpose memory board.
This would be great in any toddler’s bedroom or a fun play room, just add photos, cards and mementos without the use of tacks or push pins by sliding them behind the ribbons.
Please note: this is still a cork board and tacks would work but over time would damage the fabric. Using the ribbons to secure your photos and cards is a much safer alternative for little hands!!
This bulletin/memory board measures 18 x 24 inches (45.7 x 60.9cm) and hangs horizontally with a saw tooth hanger. As mentioned the frame is oak with a non toxic craft paint added!
Please note: There is an area of slight discoloration on the ribbon where a small amount of paint cannot be removed. This is not obvious but I have adjusted the price to reflect this and it would be an "as is" purchase. Please message me if you would like to have a close up photo of this prior to purchasing.
