it is painted dull white and surface feels slightly glossy making me believe it's oil based paint
there is a hand painted large red cross painted on the door
two holes were drilled on the back for ease of mounting on a wall
chippy paint here and there and age wear is evident
brass door latch works great
two interior shelves as well as the step back shelf on top
