Thinking about Spring immediately makes me think of my mother's garden - a riot of roses and other sweet little blooms. This was a perfect opportunity for me to put my wide collection of flower beads to good use. The bag was made with blush pink seed beads and was woven using the right angle weave method. The embellishments are coral and bone carved roses, acrylic flowers, Czech glass leaves, freshwater pearls, and beadwoven flowers and leaves.
The lush fringe was worked all around the bottom of the bag. The fringe and the neck strap is made with Czech fire polished crystals, Swarovski crystals, cathedral beads, gold-plated beads, brass rondelles, and seed beads. A gold-plated clasp was used for a secure closure.
Size: 2.5" wide x 7.5 long from the top of the bag to the bottom of the fringe.
Neck strap: 21" long
This piece took more than 12 hours to create and is entirely my own design.
