Vicky Vaughn label. Possibly never worn, as the paper tag at the neck under the designer label is still present. It identifies the fabric as nylon. It is seashell pink and covered with teeny pink flocked polka dots.
The busy frills hide the basic construction of the dress. The foundation is quintessential 50's: close-fitting bodice, wide narrow waistband and full circle skirt. Dozens of rows of the same fabric are gathered and sewn to the foundation, creating amazing volume.
A wide pink satin cummerbund sash decorates the waist. It is long and wide enough to tie in back into an enormous bow.
Zips up the side with a metal zipper.
Bust measures 34", waist 26". Skirt is 26" long from waist to hem.
Very good condition. There are some small brown spots at the tip of one of the satin ties. There is another small, light, almost unnoticeable spot at the side of the waist on the satin and a dime-sized spot near the hem on the front, right side. There may be something else small lurking amidst all those frills, but it seems otherwise perfect!
