This vintage paper banner has lots of antiquity! My love of vintage paper and graphic design merged to make this banner using scraps of old pages gleaned from my collection of books. I was inspired by my fascination of Art Deco and Egyptian styles that created the shape of each flag. Each flag has been carefully hand cut from vintage dictionary, history, math, literature, and music books ranging from 1860’s to 1960‘s. They have been artfully layered on top of each other with each flag fitting together when side by side like a puzzle, then strategically hand stitched together with thick black string.

A wonderful one of a kind original piece of history that will look like art wherever it hangs!

Banner measures approx. 25½” long from end to end of paper flags on a 54’ black string. Flags measure 3¼” long x 3” wide and 2¾” long x 1¼” wide.
