The Metro-Flex was a beautiful bakelite pseudo-twin lens roll film camera manufactured by Metropolitan Industries in Chicago in the '40's. This camera comes with its original box, instructions, an expired, unexposed roll of 127 film, and a roll of undeveloped film which is still inside the camera! 127 film is still available from select retailers online, but other film like 35mm can be wound on to the 127 spools. As for the undeveloped film, 8 exposures have been taken, and I did not overexpose the film when I handled the camera. I'm very curious to know what those pictures are of, and if you have access to a darkroom, you might enjoy developing the film and seeing what turns up! These photos could be half a century old! You'll notice the box says "Clix-O-Flex" and not Metro-Flex, but these were identical cameras manufactured by the same company - the only difference was the branding.
The camera is in great condition, only light wear to the body - you'll note some greenish oxidation on the screws on the face.
This camera would be ideal for regular use, display, and would make a very interesting camera to use for TTV photography - the viewfinder is a little blurry (see last photo). The Metro-Flex would make a beautiful gift for the camera buff of any age or experience level!
