This is an actual whole page cut out from a later vintage paperback reprint of the beloved 1963 children's book, "Where the Wild Things Are", written and illustrated by Maurice Sendak. The discarded book had lost its cover and several pages, but I rescued as many of the lovely illustrations as I could.

Depicted in Sendak's mysterious and evocative drawing style, the boy Max is shown in his private boat that will magically sail him to where the wild things live.

Size is approximately 8-7/8 x 9-7/8 inches. NO MARGINS. Only light wear and light age-tanning. The reverse is brief text from the story, and part of another illustration.

This handsome page of classic book illustration would look great framed. Perfect for a creative kid's room or for anyone who embraces what critic Manohla Dargis called "this delicate story of a solitary child liberated by his imagination."
