This hat is entirely hand sewn, from the buckram frame down to the last tiny pearl. Covered in cream and silver silk velvet, it features a mix of trims, both new and vintage. Hand dyed silk ribbon, torchon lace, antique metallic silver braid, antique cotton lace, vintage seed pearls, ribbons, feathers and tulle....something old and something new, for your wedding day. What doesn't it have? Flowers. I would suggest having a corsage made, to match your bridal bouquet, and pin it to the outside of the hat. Or, just tuck a single, meaningful blossom in between the tulle and ribbon cockade.
Please note, that vintage trims are not perfect. The metallic braid used on this hat has small areas of breakage of the metal threads, due to its age and fragile nature. I find this to not be distracting to the overall aesthetic of a vintage look, or this hat specifically. If you are not sure if you will find this unsatisfactory, please email me for detail photos of the braid.
