I created this piece for the April 2011 EBW Challenge Spring Around the Corner. One of the first signs of spring for me is when the plants are just starting to come out of the ground. All you can see are little sprouts in the dirt, surrounded by newly green grass. I wanted to capture that look in a piece of jewelry.
I created a shiny brown cube base for the cuff in the peyote stitch. Then I fringed it with mix of green Czech and Toho seed beads in a variety of shades and finishes. The clasp is a silver-plated metal leaf loop and toggle bar. Simple but elegant! This bracelet can be dressed up or down for any occasion.
The bracelet is 7 1/2" (19.5 cm) long when clasped and just under 8" (20.32 cm) from end to end, including the clasp. It is just over 1/2" (1.27 cm) wide.
