The top is a telephone receiver from a Western Electric phone- it reads "Bell system property, not for sale, Western Electric".
It is attached to a tapered section of wood, which is mounted onto a wooden 2 x 4 slab.
There are two ceiling hooks (likely for plants) screwed into the sides of the base.
The label is glued on- you can see the glue lines through the paper- the details along the top and bottom appear to be ink doodles.
The entire thing (save for the label) was been painted an antiqued golden color.
Some wear and loss throughout, but a solid piece.
The receiver spins but is firmly attached.
you'll be the only one with this kitchy find!
