We actually stopped a giant mastication machine in order to save this old growth tree (OGT) from being shredded to "schmithereens!" This particular ponderosa pine tree was felled where it grew along the Rio Ruidoso river in Ruidoso, New Mexico, in 2007 by a developer from Houston, Texas. Most of the trees were dropped in order to put in a shopping center and condominium complex. Thanks to several concerned citizens who called us hoping we would intervene, we were able to rescue the trees before they were completely destroyed.

We have carefully air dried, leveled, kiln-dried, cleaned, sanded, and polished the top of this historic tree section. We added a clear coat of protective sealer. The mid century legs have been recycled to support this one of a kind conversation piece. Complete it's rescue and adopt it into your own home.
