This old bubbled glass is very thick and heavy. The bottle still contains about 1/8" of water with some sediments inside. You can find instructions on how to open seltzer bottles online, but I don't have the tools. There's a quite sizable chip on the top right shoulder of the bottle but does not detract from its overall look. (It kind of blends in with the glass' faceted sides in a way, not sharp but quite smooth to the touch.) The clear tube inside is intact.
Inscribed Turda on the bottom, signifying its origin in Romania's glass-making city. The valve top is stamped "INTR LAZAR ODON TF-MURES" (Lazar Odon... not to be confused with Lamar Odom.)
Not one of those ubiquitous smooth Czech bottles, this is a very rare collectible, and I've only seen the exact same bottle once before and it was dated to the 1890s. I'm not quite sure if this one is that old - though definitely older than most - but I love the serpent spout!
12 1/4" tall x 4" wide
