Gorgeous vintage “STURDI” cedar chest box with copper trim. This little chest was produced by Francis F. Hamilton CO. Indianapolis in 1926. It’s in surprisingly good condition for its age. It has a very tiny crack in the wood on the top that I tried to show in photo two and a small chip in the wood on the inside of the bottom edge that is hardly noticeable on the outside. Back bottom edge also has a tiny bit of wood missing. See photo four. Handles, hinges, latch and trim are all copper. The inside has a few small stains. This is the original finish so the wood has some signs of wear and flaws due to age. If you would like more photos just convo me and I will send them to you. This would make a very pretty little jewelry or trinket box and would also be lovely to hold small craft supplies.
