This is an original design, limited edition (third of three) hand-cut papercutting of a barred owl perched on a branch. I designed this papercutting portrait from a photo I took of an owl at a raptor rehab presentation, and I cut it by hand with an x-acto knife.
Companion piece to my Great Horned Owl papercutting, also in my Etsy shop.
This piece is matted to 11"x14". The double mat is olive green and maroon, the cutting itself is done in a white cold-press watercolor paper, and the background behind the cutting is an original watercolor painting in gray, brown, reds, and black. The watermark is on the photos only, not on the actual piece.
