Puddle is a delight to create and was the work of many many hours...she is knitted from a range of homespun and novelty fabrics...much of our homespun is from our own sheep here on the farm..She also has felted woolen fabric and faux fur added to her. Puddle has safety eyes of a lovely lime green. She has had detailed hand embroidery and stitching on her to embellish her lovely fabric.I used several neat firer art techniques to added texture and character to her...she has handmade chord...wound and appliqued to her...specially wrapped fabric and other unique details. She is 21 cm tall. The result is a quirky unique little bunny rabbit that is packed with textures and colour....ready to be part of your home and life.
I am a New Zealand Doll and Bear maker , working from my high country sheep station home on a heritage 19th Century farm....I live surrounded with stunning hills and mountains, and the bush that I love...My partner and I choose to live simply and create a life that is gentle and soulful. I also take in and nurse injured and unwanted animals , giving them a home and all the love of being part of our lives......My dolls and creatures are my passion and I make each one as unique as my wild imagination allows...I love to use upcycled , vintage and repurposed materials. I am constantly learning and experimenting with new ideas , materials and techniques...all that help keep my creations fresh and special...
