When I think of spring, I think of the light "blush " of color that begins to appear! The yellow green of new leaves, alittle more blue in the sky, the tinge of pink as the trees begin to flower. This is the feeling that I tried to capture in this necklace.
The focal of this necklace is a beautiful yellow/green serpentine jade donut with a gold-plated cherry blossom button in the center. I beaded around the donut with pearlized white, and olivine green seed beads. I made tiny white "blossoms" with white seed beads and a larger pink opal bead in the center.
The necklace is a beaded spiral rope done with white seed beads, larger pearlized white seed beads and pale pink 2 cut seed beads. The pearlized beads have a pink "blush" to them that goes along with the theme. The necklace attaches to the pendant with gold-plated connector beads. The ends feature two beautiful gold-plated spiral end caps and a gold-plated hook and eye clasp.
The necklace is 22 inches in length and the pendant measure 2 3/4 inches.
