This item is made in silk georgette, the ultimate in luxury fabrics! It's soft and supple, and can be made in dusty purple (as pictured) or steel blue. The silver lace edging is imported from France and delicately stitched and cut away from the silk for a pristine finish. The robe includes a silk georgette sash belt and inner waist ties to keep the closure in place.
Dry clean recommended. Iron with medium heat on the reverse of the garment as necessary. This item will be created at the time your order is placed, so please allow 6-8 weeks before ship time. Line Philosophy:
The Versailles Collection is a study in maintaining the integrity of historical fashion, but blended with a contemporary aesthetic. The main concept of the line is to offer women the opportunity to access the fairytale romance of the past, while presenting an aesthetic that reflects their everyday modern lives. It's important to give due respect to period details, but the modern woman has a different body shape and physical needs, and these must be accommodated for.
The Versailles Collection empowers women to feel like stronger and more confident versions of these past ideals of beauty, grace, and delicacy - and why shouldn't they? In most western societies, in the past 50 years or so, women have been able to enjoy the greatest amount of personal freedom and self-direction in recorded history. So why not celebrate that freedom with a collection that reaffirms their femininity in a new, powerful way?
