I designed & handcrafted this 17 inch necklace, choker length for many. First, the pendant: hammered copper, stamped with these words to remember "Live in the Sun, Swim in the Sea" A tiny piece of the sea - a bit of blue-green abalone shell, is centered in the pendant, which measures 1 inch square. The bail is created from copper wire. The pendant & bail have been torched to bring out wonderful purples, reds & blue tints in the metal, and then is sealed to preserve it. The unique kumihimo braid I created from nylon cord and a special component yarn of cotton, wool, mohair, synthetic, nylon and more - created by fellow etsian Coolclimates. Colors in the braid are blues, browns, creams, purples, and the sturdy and comfortable toggle clasp is cast pewter with an antique hammered copper look.
