Not squirrel-proof, but terribly cute, this acorn birdfeeder is sure to be as much of a hit in your yard as it is in mine. The top of this acorn is glazed in “Walnut Brown” and the bottom in “Cocoa”, which work together to make a realistic brown over reddish brown.
This birdfeeder is glazed with non-toxic glazes and can be hand-washed with hot soapy water or even run through the dishwasher.

I bought this Scioto mold new in 1990, and while it is sometimes persnickety to make, I love it. As with all my other ceramics for which I own the mold, I pour each piece, clean them while greenware, fire them in my kiln, glaze them, and fire them again. I am happy to do custom orders for other color combinations – just convo me! Custom orders currently take approximately three to four weeks, to allow for multiple kiln firings.
