Vintage biology wall chart featuring "Chordata Vertebrata" (Aquatic Vertebrates). Paper is linen backed with two wooden rods and a string for hanging. From Berlin Germany, and dates to the 1940/50s. Vibrant colors and interesting subject matter make for a fantastic large scale piece of art. Perfect for the eclectic home.
This piece has been stored rolled for many, many years. The sides do curl in a bit, although this may resolve itself after hanging for a few weeks. There is a large crease across the top edge near the wooden rod. Water stains (particularly along the left & bottom left edge) and foxing are present. There has been some separation between the paper and linen backing as well as some paper loss to the left side. Please see the close ups which show the most significant damage.
Chart measures 52" l x 39" w. The wooden rods extend a bit beyond that measurement.
