The stone itself is a delicate shade of spring green, hued a bit deeper towards one end of the crystal. It is a completely untouched crystal- undrilled, unfaceted, unpolished. We based the entire design of the band on the broken symmetry of the natural crystal form. The stone measures 22 x 7mm, and the central crystal outgrowth is a rough nub that sticks up from the main spire about 3mm additional.
Surrounding the tourmaline are 38 tiny round full-cut diamonds, each weighing about 0.01ct, prong set on one side and tucked into the bezel on the other side. The diamond weigh a total of 0.42ct. Deep cut milgrain texture adorns the undulating lines of both the bezel and the band.
The bottom of the band is concave, but softly curved on the inside for a very comfortable fit. Slits in the metal beneath the stone let light through for better glow, and act as cleanout vents for cleaning. The 6mm band is attached to the stone design with solid shoulders, and the ring measures 30mm in length (appx 1.25"). The entire ring is cast in 18k yellow gold.

These are stones that have had no cutting, drilling, shaping or polishing whatsoever. They have internal inclusions naked to the world, crystal structures perfectly visible in some, while cleavage lines and shatter marks show up in others. This line is our second most popular, and quite often surprising people by how much they begin to love it.
This design line is in stark contrast to the CAD/CAM jewelry so often found in design schools and shopping malls. Nearly every piece is one of a kind, and custom work is a double blind adventure, as we cannot predict how the lines and curves of metal will follow the natural shards and angles of a stone.
Raw stones cannot be guaranteed, as they are often jagged and will wear over time. This, however, is one of the benefits of the line- a gemstones that will age while you do, slowly revealing the fire inside.
As often as we can, we buy the stones direct from the source- small mine owners in Kenya and Nigeria, Brazil and Oregon. We visit trade shows only once a year usually, so supplies are limited at best. Once a parcel of river sapphires sells out, that is often it until next winter, when we can meet up with the dealers again. This also makes it difficult to specially procure a size, color, or gem that may not be in our collection.

Sizing: You must be measured by a professional jeweler or use one of our complimentary sizing kits. Using online print out charts or string measurements are extremely inaccurate and will lead to paying for a second sizing. If you are unsure of your size, please let us know right away and we can hold your order until you have been accurately sized. Once we've sized the piece, if it requires a second sizing, it will be subject to a sizing fee per ring, plus shipping.
