Part of the Japanese Black & White Collection, these gorgeous oxidized silver earrings combine classic stud earrings and Freshwater Pearls with a Japanese inspired fan motif. The handmade wave of the oxidized silver has elegance and movement embedded within it, delicately embracing the freshwater pearl, with the special qualities of oxidized silver (read below) adding to its unique story. With the fan shaped into a flower, these Japanese inspired fan earrings also resemble the Kiku-no-hana, Chrysanthemum flower of Japanese emperors.
As in all of my art jewelry designs of the Eco-Japanese Jewelry, I make sure my recycle jewelry combines both new and recycled metals, to preserve our earth.
* A note about the oxidized (blackened) surface finish:
Oxidized silver patinas change over time, with wear in the high areas that touch the skin or clothing. I am often told by my customers that this gradual process makes the piece even more beautiful and personal.
