This marvelous little vintage globe bank by J. Chein & Co. is made of tin with a base that looks like yellow wood and the helpful label "globe bank." This bank was made at a time when Iran was called Persia, Beijing was Peiping, Israel didn't exist, and British East Africa had been renamed Kenya (so roughly 1920 to 1928).

The globe is still colorful but shows its age, with nicely darkened aqua seas, a number of dents, a few scratches, and a missing plug in the bottom. It would be a great addition to a collection or cute item for display.

Size: About 4 1/2 inches tall (11.4 cm)
