Arabia Sunflower Plate-Reserved for Susan

A hand painted Arabia of Finland Plate with a sunflower pattern.The plate was designed by Hikka-Liisa Ahola. Signed on the bottom "Arabia Finland HLA/KS" . From 1955, this is the rare, hard to find larger "Luncheon plate". (Many of the ones on the market are the salad size). This one measures 9.5" across and 1" high. In immaculate condition with sharp bright hand painted colors. This style is officially called "Sun Rose" and features bright yellow painterly petals, and a rich brown, black and red center. A wonderful piece of early Scandinavian Modernism.
