Tea Tree is the most broad spectrum anti-microbial oil in aromatherapy. It is the most medicinal smelling of the melaleucas is kills bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Tea tree is one of the few oils that can be used undiluted on the skin and I even use it in my salts for my netti pot when I have a sinus infection, and treat a tampon with a few drops to treat yeast infections. This is one of only two oils that I would do this with.
Niaouli is the other. It has a much more pleasant aroma than tea tree with a similar but milder action. This is easier to use on kids necause the smell is isn't as strong and it doesn't have the disinfectant smell of tea tree.
Cajeput has a sharp penatrating scent, similar to tea tree. It is often used in massage blends for pain and can be used in any blend to fight microbes.
Nerolina is perfume worthy with a mild fruity floral scent. It is called lavender ea tree but to me the scent is like apples. It is mildly disinfecting and is also used for allergies and shingles.
Rosalina is a new must have oil in my house. This oil has had the most profound psychological effects for me of any oil I've ever used. You'd have no trouble using this on a child-it's mildly disinfecting and extremely relaxing. The aroma is very stronly rosewood-like but somewhat brighter with some mild, eucalyptus-like undertones. It works like a dream in a nebulizer at night when you're sick. It kills germs and helps you drift off to sleep. i am madly, passionatly in love with this oil.
You will receive one dram each of tea tree, cajeput and niaouli plus 1/3 dram of the nerolina and rosalina. This kit will not disappoint!
