Her nose and mouth are needle sculpted. Then I painted her black, let her dry, sanded her, and stained her with my coffee/vanilla mixture. Her eyes are tiny brown buttons. The hair is raw wool from locally raised Wisconsin sheep and is a mixture of brown, charcoal, and gray hairs and covers her "scalp". Both are carefully hand sewn to the doll.
She has muslin pantaloons made from a vintage flour sack from my Grandma's stash. The dress is made from very narrow navy, off white, and red homespun stripe fabric. The pinafore is several shades of red, and a small amount of off white …….it’s a tiny, tiny floral print. Ther are small red buttons on the bodice of the pinafore. The clothing is lightly stained with a coffee stain.
She carries a handmade muslin cat. He has needle sculpted features. He was coffee stained and painted. There are stitched whiskers, and button eyes. There’s a bell hanging around her neck from a rusty wire.
She's signed "designed and made with love, Lucy".
