Hand-Cut Black paper on white illustration board
This piece is inspired by the oak trees that grow in the Arnold Arboretum in Boston. I love bare branches, and I always enjoy cutting these types of designs.
This piece took about 12 days of cutting to complete
As with all of my work, each piece is hand-cut from a single sheet of black paper using an Xacto knife/blade. All of my pieces are one continuous piece of paper, meaning all parts of the design interconnect. I use Studiotac, an archival adhesive, to mount the papercut to the white illustration board background.
This piece is custom framed in a beautiful black frame that is approximately one inch wide and one inch deep. It is classic and compliments the piece perfectly. The piece will arrive framed.
Shipping is included in the price for US customers, and international shipping is just $50 worldwide.
I have been papercutting professionally for four years. My work has been shown in galleries and museums across the country. I am also a member of the Board of Directors of the Guild of American Papercutters.
Please do not hesitate to convo me with questions about this piece.
