Vintage pottery bud vases by Upsala-Ekeby, Sweden. Designed by, Sven Erik Skawonius, these vases were made c. 1954- 1960. This pattern is called “Tip”. Pottery from this Swedish maker is often desired and collected for its modern aesthetic and designs. The exterior of these vases have an elegant black satin finish glaze and have a tall zig zag design etched into the vase in an antique white. Interior of vases are antique white. Vases measure 4 ½” tall, 3 ¼” across widest part of vase and 1 3/4” at vase opening. This pair is in good condition there are, no cracks, and no paint loss. There are two small flea bite chips around the rim and small chip on base of one of the vases. There is one small fleabite chip around the rim of the other vase. The vases are marked “UE Sweden 816(style number) ses (artisit)” (see detail photo). Please convo me at time of purchase if you would like me to add shipping insurance for an additional cost.
