Over the years I've amassed a pretty large collection of buttons, both old and new. I began making these simple little "Button It" bracelets in 2010 for a local gallery, and they're such fun to make that I thought I'd create some for my Etsy shop.
The bracelet is made from Czech glass seed beads in opaque black and opaque white, woven in a technique known as an ndebele rope or tubular herringbone. The herringbone technique is carried through to the loop that fits perfectly around the adorable little vintage button that's the closure.
