This is a gorgeous high-end boutique mocha sweater dress from the early 1980s, in the 1930s style. It is hard to describe how magnificent this is compared to more commonly found knits from that time period and my photos don't do it justice; it is clearly a high-quality garment and one would question whether it didn't come from the 1930s, except for the 1980s size tag inside.

The shoulders are lightly padded and the wool and cotton knit is of mocha, with frosted mocha rayon crocheted details, buttons and fringey arm embellishments. The bodice is fitted and there is a rayon and knit twisted "rope" belt with tassels on the ends to draw in the waist. Lovely fluted 6-gore skirt.

This one is truly a rare beauty.

Shoulders across the top, seam to seam - 35.6 cm

Bust - 76.2 cm, stretches to 88.9 cm

Waist - 66 cm, stretches to 81.3 cm

Hips - 88.9 cm, stretches to 104.1 cm

Length - 115.6 cm



Condition: Nearly Perfect. This is pristine except for a tiny imperceptible repair on the top front of the skirt which can be seen if you examine the inside of the dress.
