This coat "LunaBríde", was created over the full moon in January and finished during Imbolg, the ancient pagan festival associated with the Goddess Brigid (later St Brigid), there is so much magic & love woven into every seam of this coat.
The coat is made entirely from recycled medium-weight knits, and some pieces of repurposed velvet, all in beautiful blended shades of purple.
The bodice is made from super soft chenille, with an extra full circular skirt, made up of panels of lambswool, pure new wool, cotton and acrylic. Warm enough to be worn as a coat in Autumn or Spring, or Winter, it has a zip down the front & a black velvet tie belt which can be tied to the front or back. It has an elven hood, flared sleeves, black velvet trim on hem, hood & sleeves, some purple leopard-print panels for your inner feline and some silver sparkles for you inner faerie :)
Size UK 20-22 / US 18-20 (XL-XXL)
Chest 50inches
Waist 44 inches (can stretch wider or be cinched in with tie belt)
Length 56 inches from shoulder to hem
The skirt is extremely full, the hem measuring an incredible 22ft!
Sleeves are extra long but can be shortened upon request
for reference: model is UK size 12, 5' 4" tall, this coat almost reaches to the ground on me, suitable for a taller goddess.

All sweaters are washed & dried before I begin each garment to prevent further shrinkage, handwashing is recommended, as is drying flat, to ensure your coat lasts for many years to come. All seams are straight-stitched, overlocked/serged, and then top stitched again where necessary - made with love & made to last! With correct care this coat will see you through years of adventuring! Slight irregularities & the odd wonky seam are the nature of these creations, they evolve the moment I start to create, I never use a pattern, each one is totally unique. I am however an expert seamstress with over 25 years experience designing and making. Should any threads come loose then please just pull them through to the reverse side, please DO NOT PULL. All ends have been tightly finished off so nothing will unravel or fray.
Many thanks to the lovely Katwise for being such an inspiration.
