This is part of my “destashing” of ceramics I made a while ago. I made this in 1991, which according to Etsy means this could be considered a vintage object… which makes me feel a little more ancient than I felt this morning! There are two spots on the back skirt with light dings and I have adjusted the price of this hand-painted piece accordingly; please see the last photo where I have tried to highlight the wear.
This piece was painted with acrylic paints and then sprayed with a low-gloss sealer. It can be dusted or cleaned with a slightly damp cloth but should not be put under running water or submerged to be cleaned.
Approximate Height: 7 inches
Approximate Width: 5.5 inches (at base of skirt)
Approximate Weight: 13 oz
While I do own the majority of the molds for the ceramics I make, I did find this piece in greenware (post-pouring, pre-firing). I cleaned it, fired it in my kiln, and painted/sealed it. Because I do not own the mold for this, and made it 20 years ago, it’s a one of a kind piece.
