A lushious fun necklace that celebrates the greening of spring would be a unique way to welcome the new season. I used a ceramic face by Marty Thurman (Laughing Dog Studio) as the main focal. You can see that she is awakening from a long sleep. Notice how her hair is mused! This bead embroidery pendant is hanging from a couple of long beaded chains. It measures approximately 24 and 1/2 inches (62cm) long. The closure is a brass swirl hook and eye.
Spring Awakening was designed for March's EBW Team Challenge, Spring Around the Corner. I chose the emerging greens on the trees in my area as my inspiration. I wove these colors around a wonderful ceramic piece that depicts "Spring" as she awakens from a long sleep.
