Make yourself an adorably chubby little Gnome - either a boy Gnome with a beard, or a girl Gnome with braids. At only 3.5" tall they'll fit comfortably in your hand, maybe they'll sit on your desk or bookcase, or maybe they'll be a roaming gnome and go with you on your travels.
This original pattern gives you all the information you need to make either boy or girl Gnome and is suitable for beginner/intermediate crocheters. The instructions are detailed and easy to follow if you know the basic stitches and techniques used to make amigurumi. To make a Chubby Gnome you will need:
Various colours of double knitting (dk) weight yarn (US: light worsted).
Approx 15g yarn for hat.
Approx 10g yarn for top.
Approx 10g yarn for trousers/skirt.
Approx 5g skin colour yarn
Approx 5g yarn for hair.
Small amount of yarn for belt.
Small amount of black yarn for mouth.
Stuffing.
1 pair 9mm black safety eyes.
Tapestry needle.
3.5mm hook (US E hook).
