This original unframed drawing captures the moment that United Airlines flight 175 struck the south tower of the World Trade Center on 9/11/01, and references a still from a video of the attack. I made this drawing to capture a pivotal moment in history, certainly not to dignify the attacks. I've always been fascinated by the World Trade Center towers despite their functional and aesthetic shortcomings; for that reason I have created several pieces of art paying tribute to the buildings.
This particular drawing measures 12" by 11" and was made in 2003. It is unsigned but I will gladly sign it upon request. If you purchase this drawing I will donate 10% of the proceeds to either the World Trade Center memorial in New York City or the United Airlines flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, Pennsylvania--your choice if you have a preference.
