Next, a few lavish tablespoons of thick, delicious raw honey presses down upon a
nest of organic, fair trade herbs and spices that make up the family of herbs from which
sweet Absinthe is distilled. Here you'll find chopped herb of noble Wormwood and Licorice simmering next to dapper Spearmint for a little extra kick. For authenticity sake, whole Star Anise pods are added. Also known as Illicium Verum, you'll see these whole Anise stars floating in quite the science-tastic manner when you turn the jar this way and that between your eyes and a sunbeam. Kissing the edges of this spiced sweetness is a small dose of fine Mint Syrup dusted with ever-precious bee pollen which has been hand-crushed in marble mortar and pestle. My beekeeper friends tell me there's a small shortage on honeycomb right now, so the honeycomb element has been temporarily removed until I have honeycomb in stock again.
--Wholesome, dastardly delicious and outlawed in 15 states and two parallel dimensions (not really, it just sounds really cool to say that) my Absinthe Honey is a taste you won't soon forget. It's practically addictive and I daresay it tastes absolutely fantastic in tea, drizzled over any manner of crumpet or mixed drinks of the Mojito or actual Absinthe varieties.

Absinthe Honey will come to you in gift-style wrappings, tags and old world bits and bobs... packaged with love and care in hand-sewn burlap pouch with tie. Product labels and such are produced in-house & are completely composed of recyclable parchment paper and the like. Peel the label right off & tuck it away as a keepsake or bookmark. High quality glass apothecary jar is also a re-usable little wonder with a lined aluminum lid (safe to wash by hand).

♥-------ABOUT RAW HONEY COMPONENT: Note that Raw Honey is thick wonderstuff and it sinks to the bottom of the jar (supposed to do that). Pulled right out of the honeycomb, it is honey that has not been processed with any heat and retains all its healthy benefits, so it is thick and more solid than the clover and wildflower honey components. Instead of shaking, gently rotate the jar to mix and watch the spectacle of herbs suspended in deliciousness. This infused honey was made with an old world recipe that's been in my family for countless generation=)
♥-------PRODUCT LIFESPAN: A jar of Green Fairy Honey has a shelf life that's pretty close to an eternity, but I encourage you finish off your jar within a year or purchase.
♥-------DOES PRODUCT GLOW OR CONTAIN ABSINTHE LIQUOR? Product does not glow, lol, and contains no actual Absinthe liquor for obvious legal reasons. The color of the honey can vary from light to vibrant green depending on the natural mint syrup utilized. Wormwood herb content is actually less than a 1/2 teaspoon. Product is not distilled or fermented in any way and product has none of the legendary effects associated with old school Absinthe alcohol/liquor. Wormwood herb is harmless unless consumed in very large amounts over prolonged periods of time (just like most things in the world). So don't buy a bag of chopped wormwood and sit around chewing on it like bubblegum all day long for days on end, lol. Most folks in Pixxxie Pie's household feel that Wormwood has a soothing effect similar to Chamomile Tea when the herbs are steeped for 5 minutes or so for a cup of tea.
♥-------COUTURE OPTIONS: If you'd like your Absinthe honey to contain no Wormwood herb simply list the following in your order comments: "No Wormwood Please". Thanks to the Star Anise and Licorice herbs, your "Absinthe" honey will still have the signature spicy Licorice flavor associated with the Absinthe liquor of old.
♥-------REGARDING BEE POLLEN COMPONENT: In this world, people are numerous and varied and some people have serious allergies to bee pollen. Seek the advice of your health care provider or herbalist before ingesting products with bee pollen if you are highly sensitive with serious allergy issues, nursing or pregnant.
♥-------UNFORTUNATE REALITIES OF SHIPPING: Regarding shipping this internationally- Yes, shipping this product internationally does cost a ridiculous amount of money!!! Canadian clients will receive a small refund for any overpayment of shipping fees. Shipping to other international clients has almost doubled as of 2/2013, so you'll have to contact me for a shipping quote if you're at an international ship-to location. Please include your full ship to address in the email request, along with all products you're interested in. A special listing will be created for you if you approve the quote. Product commonly weighs well over a pound once packaged.
--Shipping to USA customers is handled via USPS Priority Mail since this is a parishable food item. Transit time is 2-4 business days and you will receive a tracking number. Product is sent via Medium Flat Rate USPS Box and the fee is not negotiable since it's printed right on the shipping label for verification purposes. You can also check the USPS website yourself to see just how much it costs to ship a medium flat rate box.
