Mitchell has an elaborate train set in his basement. It his most prized possession. He is working on constructing an imaginary land for his train to travel through. He spends all day thinking about this land and every object he encounters is considered for his project. The candy store is a ripe place for landscape elements. He has a lollipop forest and a colorful mountainous region made out of piled up pop-rocks. It took great restraint on Mitchell’s part to save the pop rocks for his mountains and not for his mouth! When Mitchell’s nephews come for a visit, he has to turn down their requests to play with the train set. “It’s art” he says.
