"Oh, my dear boy!" said the melting mother, pressing his head to her bosom and kissing his fair hair, still all her own, "marry when you please, only be happy. It is not my part to torment you. Only—tell your mother about this woman you met on the moors."
Written in 1839, first published in the early 1900's, Honor´de Balzac's Béatrix is an amazing peace of art, which I found in our local antiquities shop, forgotten and neglected :( and decided to blow a new wave of life into it!
This lovely mobile/garland would make a wonderful present for a French loving friend! Or just treat yourself to a conversation focal point of your future parties!
This unique mobile/garland will hang nicely over a mirror or window, or I just hang it vertically from curtain rails or from anything you can attach it to using just and old peg :) Hang in a doorway, from a cupboard, wardrobe or bedpost. It will bring that something extra, it's joyful and delicate at the same time....when it moves with gentle breeze or just simply hangs there in it's unique prettiness :)
I hand cut the scallops - each of them measures 2" and then stitched them together in a double layer to give a perfectly beautiful 3-D decoration. Open them up for the 2-D effect or just leave flat. In order not to wrinkle them, I will ship them in flat form, but you can very easily open them up.
Garland measures approximately 40" - it's finished with a merino wool felt bead at the bottom, to help it hang nicely :) - color of the felt ball will vary - I have them in:
*soft grey
*duck egg blue
*red
*ivory
*black
*light green
*baby pink
Please let me know if you have a preference when it comes to color.
There is a lovely hemp ribbon on top - ready to hang or to make someone happy!
Enjoy!
