More info about Kyphi on my blog (and a recipe! though not quite the one I use ;) : http://www.cauldronofcerridwen.com/blog/2011/08/01/egyptian-kyphi-recipe/
Learn why the ancients considered incense more precious than gold!
My Egyptian Kyphi is a blend of organic and wild-harvested herbs and resins as well as organic red wine, and organic raisins. To use, take one pearl and burn over charcoal. You can split the pearls into smaller portions if you prefer, since one pearl burns a very long time, and sometimes will last longer than the charcoals!
It's a challenge to find real Kyphi these days, since it is so labor intensive. It takes a full month to make, and a lot of hard work!
Modern Kyphi is based on ancient Egyptian recipes discovered in hieroglyphs. Some recipes list 16 ingredients, some as many as 36. We may never know what some of the plants listed in the ancient recipes are, but modern scholars feel we have found a reasonable approximation.
Kyphi was traditionally burned in the temples at dusk as an offering to the gods.
I offer Kyphi by weight in attractive tins. I am currently offering half ounce tins on Etsy.
** I am changing my Kyphi to a dry pellet version, so it will keep better. It will still look and smell just as wonderful as ever! The pellets look like small dime-sized disks.**
All my products are 100% vegan.

Remember to burn safe and away from flammable objects. If burning indoors, please leave windows open especially if others in your house need to share the same air. Birds are very sensitive to smoke, and many other fur-people are not fond of it either, so please keep your friends in mind.)-,.-~*´¨¯¨`*·~-.¸
