A "HUG"-"To hold fast...to press tightly in ones arms". A simple definition to some...to a bear lover, however, a "HUG" holds a whole different meaning! In the world of teddy bears...we like to refer to a "HUG" as a group of warm, soft, cuddly bears! So...do you have a "HUG"?
This "Little Hug" of teddy bears was handmade using recycled vintage velveteen fabric. All three teddy bears were made from old velvet draperies...you know the ones...those tacky old drapes we had in our home waaaaayyyy back in the 1970's? ICK!
These three little teddies are perfect for someone just starting out with their very own HUG! And a sweet HUG it is!
*The larger rust colored bear is approximately 10 inches and is stuffed tightly with polyfill in his body and limbs while his head is firmly stuffed with vintage excelsior. He's got handblown German glass eyes, brown felt paw pads, is fully jointed and wears a charming collar made of scrap pieces of black vintage velvet "trim".
*The medium gold bear is approximately 5 1/2 inches and is stuffed firmly with polyfill. He's got tiny handblown amber glass eyes, is fully jointed (cotterpin/hardboard disc in the neck and string jointed limbs) and wears an "aged" piece of vintage ribbon around his neck.
*Tiny teddy who is a lovely shade of gold is approximately 3 inches and is firmly stuffed with polyfill as well. He's got tiny glass bead eyes, is fully jointed (cotterpin/hardboard disc in his neck and string jointed limbs) and wears an "aged" cotton ruffled collar.
All three bears have been "aged" to look and feel like vintage teddy bears! Now, please don't misunderstand me...nothing is as treasured as a good old bear but these three teddies are more than ready to become your next family heirloom...just think of them as a little "instant gratification"...a whole HUG right here in one listing!
