Poor Maude dropped dead of fright on the spot with not a morsel on her lips, her soul forever trapped at the point of no return.
In memorial of this sorry soul I have created a bust of paper clay, mohair and hand dyed rags adorned with a bird vertebrae and lichen, sealed with blood red wax.
She has been painted with a mixture of vegetable pigment and acrylic and sealed with a waterproof and UV safe, slightly satin finish varnish. Maude yearns for the sun yet all the same she fares better in the shade than bright sunlit places.
She is approximately 12 centimetres/5 inches tall.
