The waves of the Irish Sea have done a mighty job of frosting and rounding the shard so it must be very old. I wrapped the forest green nugget with silver plated copper wire and hung it on a thick rubber chord necklace. It closes with a lobster clasp, which latches onto an extender chain so you can adjust the length.
When wire wrapping beach glass I approach it much the same way as cooking. I don’t often follow the ‘recipe’ or likewise, standard patterns or designs. Whether making a meal or pendant, I let instinct take over.
Being 100% Irish, there is often a Celtic reference found in my wire-wrapping. The design I ended up with here, however, reminds me more of satellites around a planet so I named it ‘Ocean Moon.’
